A Message from Your District Governor |
| |
|
|
|
It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as your District Governor. I am blessed to be surrounded by a committed, talented, and accountable core of leaders whose infectious enthusiasm is a constant source of inspiration and renewal for me. Some have had personal challenges, as has been the case for many of us, |

but their spirits and outlook are not weakened by their circumstances. Together, we have endeavored to forge ahead, united in purpose, always keeping the best interests of our fellow members and the district in mind. Evidently, and as you should expect, we are on track. The measurable results to date bear this fact. Of course, this should not come as a surprise to anyone. Just take a look at the team you elected to lead the district: |
-
Sherri Raftery, Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training
-
Bil Lewis, Lieutenant Governor of Marketing
-
Satvir Maudgal, Division A Governor
-
Doug Sheadel, Division B Governor
-
Chris Gralton, Division C Governor
-
Tien Truong, Division D Governor
-
Ben Lappen, Division E Governor
-
Stephano McGhee, Division F Governor
-
Esther Paris, Division G Governor
They, along with the Area Governors with whom they serve, consistently demonstrate diligence, dedication, and exemplary leadership. Also included on the team are our District Secretary, Val Nolen, District Treasurer, Julie Grant, Public Relations Officer, Sheila Sullivan, and the leaders and members of all of our special committees. I am very proud of all of them, thankful for their service, and honored to serve with them.
As we approach the end of this term, let me remind you that our work is not done. We still have opportunities to help our members get the recognition that comes with achieving a CC or AC designation. We have opportunities to seek out and encourage those members and clubs who have not renewed their membership to do so, and continue enjoying the benefits that a Toastmasters membership offers. Finally, we have opportunities to expand our network of clubs and share our unique and awesome educational and leadership development system with others. These challenges belong to all of us, not just the elected or appointed few.
Let us each play our own instrument in this grand orchestra of ours, and together, in harmony, we will have the Courage to Conquer.
Bash Turay, DTM, PID
