Mary Cheyne (pronounced ‘Sheen"), award-winning speaker, won second place in the 2009 Toastmaster's International World Championship of Public Speaking.
Mary is the Founder of Magnetic Podium, an organization that uses the public speaking medium to help individuals uncover the roadblocks that prevent them from reaching their highest potential.
Mary began her career in software development and later discovered she had a passion for training. She is currently a Senior Trainer for a large software firm in Boston and has trained in a (wide) range of industries including banking, airlines and recruiting during her 15+ years of experience,
Mary has been a speaker on multiple occasions for the ASTD (American Society of Training and Development, New England) where she trained other professional trainers. Mary also has a passion for the youth community. She has been a presenter at the Youth At Risk (YAR) conference, Gibbs College in Boston, and has taught public speaking classes to youth 8-15 years of age at the Everbright School in New Jersey.
Chinese (Hong Kong) by birth, Australian by transplant and American by choice, Mary earned her MBA from the University of Technology in Sydney Australia before she moved to the United States 8 years ago.
